Fight

Okay, by now you might have heard from my bro Maxxy that i got into a fight with Spikey yesterday. Mommy's thankful nopawdy is hurt except for some bruised egos. We even managed to say hi today! What's past is already past, dogs do not hold grudges.

I have been through that stage too. It can get really frustrating, especially when the bitches in heat starts flirting with you. Thank goodness mommy sent me for operation to get that nasty desire removed. Her only regret is that i ballooned and totally into food now. Haha!

Many people tried calling SPCA and animal shelters for someone to get Spike but they all said that they can't come to get Spike due to limited resources. A neighbour tried to put a leash on him but he resisted and was abit defensive.

The one thing i realised is that our country does not do much for the animals. All rescues and shelters are privately run and only gets money and resources through public funding. Over-crowding and limited resources often limits what they can do. Land is so expensive and so many shelters closed down or even moved to our neighbour country Malaysia. And there is these stoopid law that HDB dwellers can only keep small dogs! Hallo, over 70% of ppl here stays in HDB flats! Very often strays and the bigger dogs are often put to sleep when nobody adopts them after sometime.

I hope the year 2010 can brings better changes to animal welfare. People can start by sterialising their animals to control the number of unwanted births. HDB to remove the stoopid law so that bigger size dogs can also have a loving home. Dog owners can do their bit by picking up after their dogs and control them in public places and most importantly, bring them out for their walks at least once a day!!! 

Maybe one day.....maybe dogs will rule the worlds. Hahahaha! World peace!
