First of May

Today is May day, and here it is our labour day. Strange is it called labour day because it is a public holiday and most people gets the day off.

Our day starts with a piece of sad news. A puppy mill has been abandoned by its owner and 75 used dogs are left to fend for themselves. Seems to me that the owner made a quick off the puppies and decided to call it a day. Luckily a group of volunteers stepped in to help these dogs to find a foster home and hopefully a loving family. 3 of the dogs have since passed on and you read about their sad life stories at http://dogmilllrehomers.blogspot.com/

Well, i do not know much of my past. Most probably i come from a puppy mill too. My mommy adopted me when i was 2. I'm very happy as i have many friends here and i get to go for walks and car rides. But many of the dogs at the puppy mill may not even get to see the sunlight. They live in horrible conditions, usually caged whole day and many suffer from skin problems. Puppy mills should be banned!!

On a happier note, i went to botanic gardens this morning and saw Maxxy & family. Happy to hear maxxy has finally recovered from his stomach upset. Oh, and andrea bocelli is coming to town!
I know mommy would love to go to his concert. No more tickets though.....hehe

    As my mom says, this is the REAL Labour Day - not the one we have in the US in September -

    We are sorry 'bout the puppy mill situation - the state I live in here is known fur puppy mills but in the past year our state has taken measures to improve things a great deal - it akhtually khaused some to get out of the business fur they didn't want to have to do what the state mandated they did -

    We were happy to Maxx is doing better - please hip chekhk him fur me!

    we are sad to hear about the news too. its just too sad to see how pple can treat the dogs like that.

    We read about that puppy mill bust at Maxx's earlier today. We are hoping all the pups find good and loving homes.

    Mom says she would love to go to a Andrea Bocelli concert too.
