Bare your Soles!

We missed the botanical gardens due to the rain, so mommy decided to just walk around our house. We saw Yoda and Maya with their mommy on the way and the humans decided to go and get their lattes from Starbucks.

Great way to start the weekend ;)

We saw many people walking towards the end of costa rhu (they were sort of in a mini marathon or something). They were going to an event called 'Bare your soles'.

This seems interesting! Oh we saw Jewel and her mommy on our way, so we decided to follow the crowd and check out what's going on at the event.

The navy is doing some exercise at the opposite site of our house. I think they are rehearsing for the national day parade.

Some people doing the dragon boating. But that's not what we are going for. Where are all the people?

There they are!! So many people! They are walking towards the Gardens. Well, the Gardens are not officially opened yet but i think they are doing a soft launch by holding a Charity walk for the poor people lived in developing countries who cannot even afford shoes.. This event is called 'Bare your Soles', and we are the best ambassadors for walking bare-footed!

Apparently this pair of feet hasn't seen much sunlight....lol!

The marina barrage opposite, which is due to open sometime in 2013. By then we will be able to walk there from the gardens. Jewel's mom is praying for a gelato stall to be opened there....it will be a nice treat after the long walk.

The whole walk is 2.4km from start to finish....plus the walk we had earlier to starbucks, we probably walked 4km this morning! The whole thing takes about 3 hours but the weather is gorgeous today so we don't mind. In fact, Jewel got her whole family to come and they did another 2.4km!

Best walk ever!!!

Oh boy, I'm pooped.......
